Great Rift Valley

Kenya

"If there were one more thing I could do, it would be to go on safari again."  - Karen Blixen

There are few countries that have done more to romanticise Africa than Kenya. It was the birthplace of the adventure we call ‘safari’ and remains, to this day, one of the best destinations to experience that thrill. Straddling The Great Rift Valley between the two highest peaks in Africa, Kenya has arguably some of the finest wild spaces on the planet.

From the game-filled plains of Amboseli in the shadow of Kilimanjaro to the foothills of Mt. Kenya and the high plateaus of Samburu land, Kenya checks off every single safari enthusiast’s wish list. Eye bursting scenery and endless vistas only add to the excitement of seeking, and seeing, a diverse array of wildlife species. Apart from its excellent national parks, Kenya has vast tracts of private land set aside as conservancies and reserves where you can leave the bustle of popular tourism and find yourself in a wilderness seemingly all your own.

Last Chance Safaris teams up with like-minded, small operators – many of whom have a long family history with ‘safari’ – to deliver adventures that will take you from the famous Mara River crossings to walking trails supported by camels.

Embarking on a Last Chance Safaris adventure to The Great Rift Valley will leave you wishing that you too could go on safari again.
